Lance
Hoffman founded CyberSolutions in 1992, a marketing consulting firm
specializing in strategic marketing and product marketing for
technology companies. Mr. Hoffman, the principal of CyberSolutions,
offers his extensive experience as a marketing, sales, and product management executive
to innovative technology start-ups and established marketing and
product teams to aid them in the process of effectively marketing
their products and solutions. CyberSolutions works with a network of other consultants
to offer its clients a broad range of marketing and product management
services.
Lance
has spent more than 20 years in the computer industry, having spent
15 of those years working for IBM and Apple. Since 1992 when he
founded CyberSolutions, his client list has included Microsoft,
Apple, Cisco, Qualcomm, EarthLink, Digital River and Ericsson, as well
as several lesser known start-ups such as Cinebase, BroadStream, and Emaimai Hong Kong Ltd. At Microsoft, Mr. Hoffman has
contributed to the product launches for Internet Explorer 7, Microsoft Producer, Windows
Digital Rights Manager, and other Microsoft products.
Most
recently, Mr. Hoffman served as VP of Client Services for Digital River GlobalTech, a global outsourced ecommerce provider, and prior to that, VP of Marketing for Emaimai Hong Kong
Ltd., an ecommerce and online auction site focused on the Chinese market.
Mr.
Hoffman brings a profound understanding of technology marketing, product
marketing and product management to his clients, with a realistic,
results-oriented approach. He has a strong background in digital
media technology, Internet technologies, relational databases and
networking solutions. He has a wide range of expertise in areas
such as product management, product launches, outbound marketing,
media relations, analyst briefings, customer presentations and business
partnerships. Lance also possesses strong leadership and management
skills that has boosted team productivity and created an environment
that fosters creativity and innovation.
Lance
began his career with IBM at the Santa Teresa Lab in San Jose, CA,
as a member of one of the original DB2 development teams in the
product management group. After 7years at IBM, he moved to Apple Computer
as a product manager for its database connectivity tools, and later,
and National Account Executive in Southern California responsible
for Apple's second largest customer in the region which produced
annual sales of over $6,000,000 per year in Apple products and earned
him a Golden Apple Award for Sales Excellence. Lance holds both
Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Computer Science
from Union College in Schenectady, New York.
